My practice

Often people do not have a clear agenda when they start therapy, but some people have a particular reason for seeing a therapist. Some of these may be:

  • depression
  • anxiety and panic attacks
  • self-esteem
  • self-harm
  • emotional turmoil
  • trauma
  • loss and bereavement
  • abuse and domestic violence
  • relationship issues
  • separation and divorce
  • family issues
  • work-related difficulties.

What I do and how I work

I work from home in Isleham between Newmarket and Ely, and in central Bury St Edmunds at The Active Business Centre. I see individuals and couples, and provide supervision.

People can contact me directly, but I also accept referrals from the NHS, Occupational Health services, private companies and the public sector. I offer both short- and long-term therapy.

The first session is very important as not only is it when I can begin to hear the story but more importantly the patient can make an assessment themselves as to whether they feel comfortable talking to me and whether they feel they want to continue working with me. As an attachment therapist working often in a relational way with you the working alliance between us is vital.
